Your Evening at 1887
The 1887 tasting menu is a carefully composed dining experience, celebrating the finest Scottish produce through a thoughtfully paced evening of modern cuisine. Your evening begins in the Drawing Room for canapes and a drink, before you are invited to the restaurant for the main dining experience. To allow sufficient time to enjoy the experience as intended, we kindly ask guests to arrive 30 minutes prior to their table time. Late arrival may impact the progression of the menu for both you and other guests.
Menu Format
1887 offers a single set tasting menu, priced at £150 per person, which is enjoyed by the entire table. In order to preserve the integrity and balance of the menu, we regret that dislikes, substitutions, or alterations are not possible on the day of dining.
Allergens & Dietary Requirements
We take allergies and dietary requirements very seriously and ask that all such information is communicated no later than 48 hours prior to dining, by email to info@thetorridon.com. Due to the nature of the menu, requests received within 48 hours, or on the day of dining, cannot be guaranteed. In these circumstances, it may not be possible to offer the tasting menu and a charge of £150 per person may apply unless we can resell the table.
Please note that owing to the style of cuisine, we are unable to cater for allium allergies.
1887 is not an allergen free kitchen. While every reasonable precaution is taken and the highest professional standards are upheld, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of cross contamination.
Cancellations & Amendments
All reservations are subject to the cancellation terms confirmed at the time of booking. Late cancellations, non attendance, or reductions in guest numbers may incur a charge of £150 per person. These terms enable us to maintain the standard and consistency of the dining experience for all our guests.
